6 tips for being a successful intern
Just read a blog post by Lauren Novo on Gen-Y PRogress titled “How to be a Successful PR Intern.” Her suggestions are right on target:
Acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses.- Be proactive and provide value.
- Don’t ask what you can figure out yourself.
- Carry a note pad everywhere you go.
- Set up performance evaluations.
- Continue to grow.
These six tips are actually applicable for most any profession. Novo concludes her blog post with a tease of next week: “How to be a Good Intern Supervisor.” I’ll look forward to hearing her thoughts on that topic as well.
